Getting to know Ellen ...

What is your favorite location on campus?
It's a toss up between Hagan Arena and Lapsley Lane. We are all so proud to be Hawks and watching a basketball game in the Hagan Arena is an experience that is indescribable! And of course, Lapsley Lane is just so beautiful during any season!

What would you do over again from your college experience, if you had the chance?
My favorite thing that I did in college was study abroad in Galway, Ireland. It was the most amazing, fun, life-changing thing that I have ever done and if I were to do anything over again, I'd go for a year instead of just a semester!! Every student should go abroad sometime during their college career, whether it be for a year, a semester or just a few weeks - you won't regret it!

What is your favorite thing to do in Philadelphia?
One of my favorite things to do in Philadelphia is check out all of the different restaurants that the city has to offer! From Buddakan to Larry's Steaks to The Reading Terminal Market ...Philly has such great food! I also love to walk down Kelly Drive - it's so beautiful, especially when there are boats or rowers on the water!

Why did you decide to study Communications in College?
I chose to study Communications in college because it gave me the opportunity to go into many different fields after graduation, as I had no idea what I wanted to do after college. I had internships in radio, TV, public relations and then I found my niche when I interned in an admissions office! I loved every course that I took in Communications and I use the things that I learned every day!
